How we work it out
Item total − discount + shipping charged − product and packing costs − shipping cost.
A $5 discount is capped at the item total. Each offer is compared on its own. The tool does not predict sales or check which discounts combine in Shopify.
Which offer should I choose?
Start with what you can afford. On the sample $40 basket, 10% off costs $4. Waiving a $7 shipping charge gives up $7. That tells you the cost of the offer, not which one shoppers will prefer.
Keep the same basket in each comparison. Include packing and shipping so a small offer does not hide a loss. Then check the terms in Shopify before you use it.
