Shopify visits but no sales: small-sample calculator

See how often zero orders could happen at a conversion rate you assume. Use it to put a small visit count in context.

Try one assumption

The sample 1% rate is made up for the calculation. It is not a target or industry average.

A what-if model · Not a store diagnosis

36.6% chance of zero orders under this assumption

For 100 sessions, assuming each has the same independent 1.00% chance of an order.

50 sessions60.5%
100 sessions36.6%
200 sessions13.4%
400 sessions1.8%

The rate is your input, not a Shopify benchmark. Real sessions differ, people return, and bots may be counted. This model cannot tell whether your store is working well.

See the math and its limits

Chance of no orders = (1 − rate)sessions. A rate of 1% means 0.01 in the formula. For 100 sessions: 0.99100 ≈ 36.6%.

This uses an independent, fixed-rate binomial model. It is not an estimate of your true conversion rate, a proof of a broken store, or a reason to keep spending on ads.

One hundred visits is still a small sample

Even if every session truly had a 1% order chance, zero orders in 100 sessions would happen about 36.6% of the time in this model. That does not tell you the real rate at your shop.

Check that checkout works, the delivered price is clear, and the traffic fits the product. Use shopper questions and page behavior alongside counts. More visits alone cannot fix a bad offer.
