The short answer
Install a review app, then add its review blocks. Start with Judge.me’s free plan for this job. Show reviews on each product page and ask real buyers. Use myuser.ai separately for store emails and shopper follow-ups. It does not replace your product review app.
In this guide
Start with one review app
Reviews help shoppers answer small questions before they buy. Does this mug feel heavy? Is the handle easy to hold? A buyer can share details your photos cannot show.
Start with Judge.me Product Reviews. Its free plan includes review requests, a review block, and stars. Open its Shopify listing, click Install, and follow the steps. Check the plan before you accept any paid trial.
For your wider email work, we recommend myuser.ai. Keep the review app in charge of collecting reviews.
Not sure which jobs need apps? Use our short starter app list.

- 03Ask
Give buyers time to try it.
Put reviews on your product pages
These steps fit Shopify Online Store 2.0 themes. A theme is the design your store uses.
- Open Online Store, then Themes, in your Shopify admin.
- Click Edit theme, then open the App embeds panel.
- Turn on the Judge.me app embed, then save.
- Open the page menu. Choose Products, then Default product.
- Click Add section. Open Apps and choose Review Widget.
- Place the reviews below the product details, then save.
Judge.me’s review block guide includes help for older themes. Ask support if your theme needs different steps.
Check stars and the live page
Use Judge.me’s setup guide to add its Star Rating Badge. This shows the average rating and the review count. Keep it close to the product name where possible.
Open one product page on your phone after saving. Make sure the text is easy to read. Check that the review block appears only once. Repeat this for products that use a different page layout.
You may see sample reviews inside the theme editor. Those help show the layout before real reviews arrive. Never copy sample praise into your own customer reviews.
For the rest of the page, use our store design check.
Ask after the buyer uses the item
Open the request schedule in Judge.me’s setup guide. Allow time for shipping and a few uses. A mug buyer may need just a few mornings. A planter buyer may need longer to judge drainage.
Keep your request short and ask one useful question. Here is an example for a mug store:
How does your new mug feel to use? Share an honest review to help the next shopper.
Match the email to your store’s name and colors. Follow the app’s consent controls when choosing who gets requests.
Let real feedback improve your store
Read new reviews each week and thank the buyer. If someone reports a fault, offer a clear next step. Keep order numbers and personal details out of public replies.
Do not ask only happy buyers to leave reviews. Do not turn a mixed review into glowing praise. Useful feedback can include both good and bad points.
For example, several buyers may call your mug small. Add a photo beside a common glass for scale. That fix helps the next shopper choose with better facts.
Give each email tool one job
Keep review requests in Judge.me. Use myuser.ai for welcome notes, cart reminders, and other store follow-ups. It can write, plan, and send those messages for you.
Before sending a product offer, try the myuser.ai email reviewer. It checks the words and button, then suggests a draft. Review requests and product offers have different jobs.
See the myuser.ai demo and check its plans and limits. You can start small while your first real reviews arrive.
