Candle Business Email Examples for a Small Shop

3 min readUpdated September 14, 2026By Merchant Shortlist editorial desk

The short answer

You can send useful candle emails with just a few scents. Help someone choose a scent, find a gift, or return to a candle they viewed. Each email needs one clear job. Use the examples below as drafts and replace all sample details with your own.

In this guide

Help someone pick a scent

Sample subject: “Which candle smells like a walk in the woods?”

Sample email: “Cedar is warm and woody. Citrus is bright and fresh. If you liked our green jar at the market, that was Cedar. See the scent notes and jar size here.” Use a button that says “See Cedar.”

This helps someone make a choice. Use your real scent notes. A reader cannot smell a picture, so describe the scent in plain words. Avoid giving every candle the same vague praise.

A small plan you can use
  1. 01New signup

    Help them choose a scent.

  2. 02Item in cart

    Answer the next buying question.

  3. 03Past buyer

Use their new interest to guide the note.

Answer one gift question

Sample subject: “A small gift for someone who loves fresh scents”

Sample email: “Our Citrus candle comes in a gift box. Add your note at checkout. See what comes in the box and when we can send it.” Use “See the gift box” as the link.

Only mention a box, note, or delivery option you truly offer. Put the total price on the linked page. If buyers keep asking whether the candle is small, show its size next to a familiar object.

Write a cart note without a discount

Sample subject: “Still thinking about the Cedar candle?”

Sample email: “The Cedar candle you picked is here. You can check the size, scent notes, and shipping details before you order.” Link back to that shopper’s cart when your sending tool provides the right link.

Do not invent low stock or a deadline. Sometimes the missing detail is the thing worth sending. Our offer guide helps you check the cost before you add a deal.

Give a past buyer a useful reason to return

Someone bought Citrus last month and now looks at Cedar. A note about Cedar fits that visit. A second welcome offer may not.

Sample subject: “Meet the woody scent you took a look at”

Sample email: “You know our Citrus candle. Cedar has warm, wood notes in the same jar size. Here are the details.” This is a made-up example. Use only the shopper details your tool actually has, and send marketing to people who signed up for it.

Keep each email small and clear

Use one good photo, a few short lines, and one main button. Show the scent name near the photo. Check that the link opens the right product on a phone.

Paste a draft into myuser.ai’s free email reviewer to get edits to the words. Add a screenshot if you want it to look at the layout. The tool cannot check that a link works or promise inbox placement. Open the links yourself.

Have myuser.ai handle the next message

repeat-customer followup with myuser.ai can use products, visits, carts, and past orders to decide what each shopper gets next. It writes, schedules, and sends the follow-up. You do not build separate flows for each scent.

You choose the designs, offers, and channels before you turn it on. Keep product facts up to date. Use a clear signup form to start the relationship. Check plan prices and limits as your list grows.
