The short answer
Give people one clear reason to join your email list. Put a QR code on your table that opens a real signup page. Then send what you promised. Our free sign maker turns your page link into a printable sign and a follow-up draft.

Give people a reason to scan
Someone likes your earrings, but the pair they want is gone. A sign that says “Get the next restock date by email” gives them a clear next step. “Join our newsletter” tells them much less.
For a candle stall, try “Get our scent guide and market dates.” For a potter, try “See the next mug drop.” Pick a promise you can keep. You do not need a discount to ask people to stay in touch.

- 01At your stall
Give one clear reason to join.
- 02On their phone
Open your form and choose email updates.
- 03After the fair
Send the promise, then useful follow-up.
Start with a real signup page
Your QR code needs to open a page with a working form. Use a page in your own store, so people can see the same shop name as the sign. Ask for an email address and make the choice to get marketing clear.
A scan alone does not add someone to your list. They must finish the form. Shopify explains its form and marketing settings. Check that your own form records the choice people make.
Make the sign, then test the whole path
Open the free craft fair sign maker. Add your shop name, event, signup link, and reason to join. Print the sign at the size you plan to use. Leave room around the code.
Use your phone to scan that printed copy. Fill out the form with a test address you own. Check the success message and the email that follows. The tool makes a sign and draft. It does not host the form or send emails.
Make joining easy at the table
Put the sign near the items people stop to look at. Keep it out of glare. Print the page address below the code for people who would rather type it.
Try this: “The blue mugs sold out. You can join here for the next batch.” Let the shopper choose. Do not turn a stack of business cards into a marketing list. If the venue has poor phone service, keep the page address on a card they can take home.
Help them remember your shop
A useful first note might say: “It was lovely to meet you at Maple Street Market. Here is the scent guide you asked for. The orange label was our Cedar candle.” Add one clear link to the guide.
Use the real event name and a photo they will know. Deliver the promised item before adding more offers. Run your draft through myuser.ai’s email reviewer, then check the names and links yourself.
Let the next visit shape the next message
myuser.ai forms can collect store signups and send the welcome they asked for. Check that your linked store page and form work together before printing.
For ongoing follow-up, myuser.ai uses visits, carts, orders, and products to choose, write, schedule, and send messages. You pick designs, offers, and channels, then turn sending on. You do not have to build a flow chart for every shopper. Check the plans and send limits first.
Print the market followup worksheet to check your QR sign, offer, first message, and next step in one place.
