The short answer
A good discount code popup makes one clear promise and keeps it. State the offer, show key limits, and tell the shopper where the code will arrive. Check the code on the real product. Use one welcome sender so the shopper does not get two different offers.
In this guide
Choose the offer using a real order
Imagine a print-on-demand shirt store. The shirt costs $32. Printing and shipping cost the shop $19. A 10% code removes $3.20 before payment fees or ads. Those are made-up numbers, but the cost check is real.
Try the dropshipping and POD margin calculator with your own costs. Then choose an offer you can afford.
If the code needs two shirts or a minimum spend, say so on the popup. Do not promise 10% off everything when several designs are excluded.
Already set it up, but no code arrives? Check the welcome-offer steps.

- 01Clear offer
Say what the code gives and who can use it.
- 02Kept promise
Show or email the code as promised.
- 03Working checkout
Try the real product and the real code.
Six popup copy examples you can adapt
Use only an offer your shop really provides. Add its limits beside the button. These examples do not create a code or prove that an offer sells more.

Button: Back to the shop
Promise an email only if your setup sends it. If you show the code right away, say that instead. Use the 10% popup setup guide for the form and code steps.
Make the success screen useful
After signup, the shopper should know what to do. A plain “Thanks” is not enough if you promised a code. Show the code and a link back to the items it works on.
Shopify Forms has a success-step discount setting that can show a selected code. Sending a welcome email is a separate step to set up and check.
With myuser.ai signup forms, check the form follow-up settings too. The displayed promise and actual message need to match.
Try the code as a shopper would
Use an address you own. Sign up, copy the code, choose an eligible shirt, and check the price before payment. Try your phone as well as a larger screen.
Review Shopify's discount rules for products, customers, minimum spend, dates, and uses. A code that exists may still reject this order.
For POD, keep production and delivery facts easy to find. A discount should not hide a long wait. Use the welcome discount checker if the offer breaks at any step.
Choose one welcome sender
A popup app, Shopify Messaging, and an old email app may each have a welcome send turned on. List the sender for this form and turn off the overlap you no longer want.
myuser.ai handles ongoing email and text follow-up automatically. Its AI uses products, visits, carts, and orders to choose, write, schedule, and send. You set designs, offers, and channels and activate sending.
You do not have to build marketing flows. Form follow-ups and manual sends have separate controls. Other apps do not stop by themselves.
Check what happens after signup
Track form views, signups, delivered welcome messages, clicks, and orders over the same dates. These are different steps. A signup increase alone does not show that the offer makes money.
Change one thing at a time. You could clarify the minimum spend or link to the right shirt collection. Keep a note of the change date. Compare results only when you have enough data to learn from.
