Store decision worksheet

Write the numbers down before you change the plan.

Store / date / currency

1. Compare two plan quotes

Use the same country, currency, payment type, and billing term. Divide an annual fee by 12 for a monthly comparison; record the actual annual charge too.

The feature I need that my current plan does not have
Plan A: monthly fee / rate / fixed payment fee
Plan B: monthly fee / rate / fixed payment fee
Eligible monthly payment amount / payment count
Difference in a normal month / a quiet month

Compare one payment type at a time. Count the extra subscription fee once for the whole store.

2. Sort out an app charge

App name / bill ID / amount / where it was billed
Approved / trial ended / app billing period
Uninstalled / Shopify invoice date

A later invoice can include an earlier charge. Save the terms and dates. Ask the app developer which period the charge covers. For outside billing, check the outside subscription too.

3. Walk through checkout

  • The product, size, and delivery details are clear.
  • The final price and shipping cost match what was promised.
  • Guest checkout works if my shop allows it.
  • An in-stock item can reach payment without an error.
What I saw / the next thing to fix

Use a test method suitable for your store. Do not place or pay for a real order by mistake.

4. Put a quiet week in context

Date range / traffic source / sessions / orders

At an assumed 1% order chance, 100 independent sessions have about a 36.6% chance of no orders. That is an example, not your true store rate. Check known faults even with a small sample.
